Police have condoned off part of a nature reserve as they stepped up efforts to trace the body of missing teenager Georgia Williams, who is believed to have been murdered.

The 17-year-old was last seen on  Sunday after arranging to meet a friend, Jamie Reynolds, 22, for a photoshoot. He has been arrested on suspicion of her murder.
Ms Williams, whose father, Stephen, works as a detective constable for West Mercia Police, which is leading the investigation into her disappearance, was reported missing after failing  to attend a driving lesson or meet her boyfriend, Matthew Bird, 18, on Monday morning to travel to a music festival.
Police searched woodland and taped off an area in Brown Moss Nature Reserve. A tent was later seen being erected. The reserve lies  about 17 miles from Wellington, Shropshire, where Ms Williams lived.
Mr Reynolds was arrested in Glasgow – more than 250 miles away from the teenager’s home – on Wednesday morning, on suspicion of kidnapping. Detectives, who carried out forensic tests on an empty Toyota van and searched a hotel, took the suspect back to Telford for questioning.
Forensic teams also searched a semi-detached house in Wellington, where neighbours said Mr Reynolds lived with his parents.
This morning police announced they were treating the case as a murder investigation.
At a press conference this afternoon, Superintendent Nav Malik, the Telford and Wrekin Police Commander, asked for the public’s help to try to locate the teenager. He said: “I make it very clear, folks, we have not found Georgia Williams at this moment in time. She remains elsewhere – we are not quite sure where. We are really, really keen to identify where she may be... and I urge the public to support us in trying to find out where she may be.”
He added more than 50 detectives were working on the investigation.Georgia has not been seen since telling her parents she was going to see friends at 7.30pm on Sunday.
Police said she had her mobile phone with her when she left, but the last calls and text messages were received from the device at about 8pm that night.
That morning she tweeted: “Worst night’s sleep in ages. Need sleep. Stuff on mind. Now can’t get back to sleep.” Police are uncertain if the tweet is relevant to their enquiry.
Supt Malik said officers were still keen to ascertain the movements of a silver Toyota Hiace 300 GS van to which Mr Reynolds had access. It was seized in Glasgow today.
The van, which has the number plate CV06 ASV, is believed to have left Wellington at about noon on Monday, travelling to Oswestry, Rhyl, Chester and Kendal before reaching Glasgow at about midday on Tuesday.
Supt Malik said previously that Georgia’s disappearance was “completely out of character” and described Mr Reynolds as a “friend” of the missing girl, but not her boyfriend.
Ms Williams is described as 5ft 3in, slim with long, dyed red hair, and was last seen wearing a waist-length black leather jacket over a white T-shirt with a London bus motif. She was also wearing black skinny jeans and flat, black suede slip-on shoes.
On Wednesday night, her boyfriend Mr Bird posted an emotional appeal on Facebook. He wrote: “I love you so much Georgia Williams, you mean the world to me, please just come back or get in contact with us. I need you and I miss you so much.”
